Terms of Service

The rules of the road for using Kazicloud — for jobseekers, employers and partners. Last updated September 2026.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using the Kazicloud platform ("the Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from the Platform.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for everything done through your account. You must provide accurate information and keep your profile up to date.

Kazicloud may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, that are created fraudulently, or that compromise the safety of other users.

3. Jobseeker standards

Jobseekers agree to: provide accurate CV and profile information; only apply to roles they are genuinely interested in and qualified for; not misrepresent their identity, qualifications or work history; and treat employers and other users with respect.

You own your CV and profile content. You grant Kazicloud a licence to process it for the purpose of operating the Platform — matching, applications, analytics and compliance.

4. Employer standards — no fees charged to candidates

Employers agree to post genuine, lawful roles with accurate descriptions and KES salary bands. It is strictly prohibited to charge candidates any recruitment fee, processing fee, training fee, or any other payment as a condition of employment or application. Kazicloud reserves the right to remove listings and suspend accounts that violate this rule, and to report such conduct to the relevant authorities.

Employers are responsible for the lawful content of their job postings, including compliance with Kenya’s Employment Act and anti-discrimination law.

5. Fair use of candidate data

Employers may use candidate data only for recruitment purposes connected to the Platform. Recruiter notes, fit scores and internal shortlists are internal records; employers must not publish, sell or share candidate personal data without the candidate’s consent, and must comply with the Kenya Data Protection Act (2019).

6. Subscriptions and billing

Employer plans are billed in Kenya Shillings (KES) and activate immediately on payment: Single Post KES 1,500 (one listing, 30 days), Monthly Pro KES 5,000 (up to 10 active listings, 30 days from subscription date), and Enterprise Annual KES 50,000 (unlimited listings, 365 days). Free onboarding includes one complimentary starter post per new employer.

Payments are processed through M-Pesa STK Push (Safaricom Daraja) and Paystack (card and bank). By completing a payment you authorise the charge. Unused credits are non-refundable and non-transferable unless required by law. Monthly subscriptions renew for consecutive 30-day periods until cancelled from the billing hub; Enterprise Annual plans are one-off annual commitments.

7. Public Jobs API and embeds

The Public Jobs API and career-page embeds are provided under an API key issued to the employer. You may use them to display your own published roles on your own properties. You may not resell, scrape or redistribute Kazicloud platform data or other employers’ listings without written permission.

8. Intellectual property

The Kazicloud name, logo, brand, design system and platform software are the property of Kazicloud Kenya. Nothing in these terms grants you any right in them. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer or create derivative works of the Platform, except as expressly permitted.

9. Limitation of liability

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by Kenyan law, Kazicloud is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, loss of profits, or loss of data arising from use of the Platform, hiring outcomes, or any third-party conduct (including employers, candidates, or payment providers). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time. Kazicloud may terminate or restrict access for breach of these terms, fraudulent activity, or platform safety concerns. On termination, your right to use the Platform ends; sections on liability, intellectual property and governing law survive.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced through the Platform or by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
